Not much this week; I’ve been all busy with tests and projects. But I did get a blog post out, and I’m now in Spring Break so hopefully, I’ll have some great stuff next week. For now, enjoy my research paper (from last year) on Religion in Space.
For the story I’m currently planning, I needed to build a timeline as a backstory. There really aren’t very many great tools for this, so I went ahead and coded my own: Ancient Avocado.
Part of my story's timeline (I hover to expand items). Items include the establishment of the second and third Mars colonies in 2040 and the first manned Jupiter mission's arrival in 2041.
I’ll keep working on it, but if you’re interested in a tool like this (a friend said a variation could be useful as an agenda) reply to this and let me know! I’ll release the packaged program once I have a working model, but the source code is available on Github (albeit with a sad lack of documentation for the time being–email me if you need instructions).
Thought of the Week
The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.
